A full experience-management platform, built in 10 weeks
A no-code experience-management platform — drag-and-drop builder, embeddable SDK, behavioural targeting, analytics, and billing — built from zero to production in 10 weeks by a two-person Tuned Pod, going head-to-head with incumbents that took far larger teams far longer.

Challenge
A whole product, not a feature
SurveyTale entered a category full of well-funded incumbents — SurveyMonkey, Typeform, Jotform. That category doesn’t reward a thin MVP; it demands a product that holds its own on feature surface from day one. Conventionally, building that means a sizeable team and the better part of a year. The brief was the opposite: parity-grade, production-ready software, fast — without standing up a ten-person team to do it.
Full breadth, production-grade, fast
The difficulty isn’t any single feature — it’s that there are so many, and each is its own subsystem. A no-code builder has to feel effortless while supporting a dozen-plus question types and conditional logic. An embeddable SDK has to drop cleanly into any customer’s site or app and behave identically everywhere. A targeting engine has to fire the right survey at the right user, then respect recontact rules so nobody gets spammed. And all of it has to be production-grade from the start — real customer data, unlimited response volume, GDPR — not a demo that buckles under load.
Solution
A two-person Tuned Pod
We ran it as a Tuned Pod: a small, senior team that owns an outcome end to end. One senior engineer owned the architecture and the full build — front end, SDK, targeting engine, data layer, billing. One QA engineer owned correctness in parallel, from day one, across the whole surface.
That pairing is the quiet reason the speed held. “Fast” usually means quality gets tested at the end, when there’s no time left to fix what breaks. Here QA ran alongside the build the whole way, so the product was hardened as it was written, not inspected after the fact — speed and reliability stopped competing.
The whole platform, shipped
What came out the other side was the entire platform:
- A no-code builder with a dozen-plus question types, conditional logic and live styling, plus a 36-survey template library.
- Four delivery channels — in-app, shareable link, email, and native mobile.
- An embeddable SDK installable by script tag or NPM, for React, Vue and Svelte.
- A behavioural targeting engine driven by user attributes and in-app actions, with recontact rules so nobody gets spammed.
- Analytics, and the account, billing and GDPR-compliant data layer underneath — built to scale to unlimited responses from the first release.
The outcome
A complete, production-grade experience-management platform — live and in market, positioned head-to-head with incumbents that took far larger teams far longer to build. Designed and shipped from zero in 10 weeks, by two people.
How AI did it
SurveyTale was an AI-native build. The Tuned Pod works through a proprietary in-house agent harness that orchestrates frontier models — Claude, Codex, and Gemini — as part of the team: agents draft, review, and test code alongside the engineer, while the senior engineer owns the architecture and every call that carries risk. That is how two people covered the surface area of a ten-person team without quality slipping.
This is the Tuned Pod thesis with the numbers attached: senior judgment steering a fleet of agents. When the people are senior enough to make the right calls and the harness does the building, scope that used to need a department fits inside a pod — and ships in the time most teams spend planning one.
